As usual the senate race will be interesting. Given the states reputation for electing celebrities for governorship, this race will probably end up being a tight one.
Even in a progressive state like this one, people still seem to be bothered by some of the things about Al. At one time, I was probably in that group. I will admit it, I read Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot. A lot of what he did in there was motivated to sell a book. Look at the title. How much more could that book be screaming “Pick me up, open me, buy me.” To me that’s fine. At the time he was in the business of selling himself as a political entertainer. He is not a particularly dumb man either. He knows how to make the media work for him, which is something all politicians have to do. What I am saying here is that his sense of humor should disqualify him as a leader. I think once people get over they will see him the best candidate to represent our state.
